Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of TextingParents, operated by Texting Parents, LLC. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What the service is

TextingParents helps co-parents communicate and keep a shared, tamper-evident record: messages, photos, a shared calendar with swaps, a Family Vault of child details, and in-app calling. You can export a TrueCopy (your certified court record) that anyone can verify at textingparents.com/verify.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the legal name you provide (it appears on certified records) and for activity on your account.
• Sign-in is by a one-time email code; keep access to your email secure.

The record is permanent and shared

• Entries you add are append-only: they cannot be edited, unsent, or deleted by anyone, including us. This is the core of the product.
• Your record is shared with your co-parent. Both of you can view and export it. One parent cannot remove the other's access or erase the record.
• Closing your account revokes your sign-in and removes your personal profile data, but does not delete the shared record, which is retained for your co-parent and for its evidentiary purpose.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to harass, threaten, or harm anyone; to break the law; or to interfere with the service's security or operation. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans & payments

• Free: unlimited on-the-record messaging for both parents. Pulling a TrueCopy (your certified court record) costs a one-time fee per export.
• Premium ($99/year or $12.99/month, covering both parents): unlimited certified exports plus voice and video calling.
• Paid plans are billed through your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and are subject to Apple's terms; manage or cancel in your store’s subscription settings. Prices may change with notice.

Not legal advice

TextingParents is a tool, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, and whether any record is admitted as evidence is decided by a court. Our certified-record declaration is provided as a convenience and may require additional steps in your jurisdiction.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Texting Parents, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
